janet is looking for information as regards the civilian nurse uniform to wear at home guard events rather then the waaf uniform she has now. we hope to get the head scarf, apron & belt? but we could do with some help how to obtain the blue dress & the cape. does anyone know of a company that supplies nurse regalia or can help janet out? we have tried ebay & other large companies with no luck. any help appreciated

Seen them for sale in past but all tiny, wy not get one made cheap of tracy andys wife she made the nun outfit not sure if shes got one to copy worth a try.

There is a guy who makes a whole bunch of nurses uniform items - solomon adler. Do a google search. I think he has a UK agent. They are based in Poland or Czech I think.

thanks matt, one of the lads in the nww2a has sent me a link on ebay from a british company who do the uniforms, but they are all to bid for & not buy them now, so we have to wait & see for a couple of days to see iof we can win? i will try the person you named as you never know??

Another woman who makes them to order, is Della Rebours in Harrogate, her quality is apparently second to none. She makes period dresses for women from many history periods and is in great demand. Her name is in the phone book.

Good luck! You just never know. Original stuff can be out there, but some of the collectors take a lot of persuading to part with stuff. Its like watching an episode of "american pickers".
