Group A.G.M.

Heyup all
Imminant AGM has no date yet, the group is still waiting to finalise accounts as were still waiting payment from Pontefract Castle and Sheffield. Usually the date is around late February early March, if there are dates when members CAN'T make around these times please indicate via the forum otherwise a default date will be set. The venue will be the Burghwallis again on a Sunday for lunch, again please indicate if a meal is NOT required, if members would like a different venue please indicate [but be prepared to find and book the alternative]. Watch this space.

the nww2a is having its membership weekend at eden camp sat 25 to sun 26 of feb. if its poss to keep away from those dates id be gratefull, as me & the missus would like to attend the agm & join the group at the same time? cheers,steve

Due to circumstances way beyond my control the AGM is now confirmed as SUNDAY MARCH 18th [this date is now now no longer nogotionable] at the Burghwallis pub. If anyone wants a meal before it is £6.95 (a smaller meal option is also available)from 12 onwards, room is ours from around 2. This is also open to all potential new members, a chance to come and meet us and see what were up to this year. There could be confrontation and contravershal issues to discuss but that's what it's there for.
Directions are: the South bound A1, between the Skellow and Upton turnoffs, just before the A1M starts A638[or just after it finishes going Nth. have to travel a couple of miles further to turn round Sth.] small slip road leads to pub at end of road.

Three months notice is excellent organising, even though its a bit later that you'd planned it should allow people plenty of time to their diary to engage in your group decision making.
Although my job currently ceases on the 11th March, the week before and I don't yet know what my new job and its rota will entail I will stick in an unavailable request in the work diary to let people know I can't cover a shift on the 18th.

Hi all
Every year gets worse, this is the worst ever. Been to confirm AGM room, It clashes with MOTHERS DAY Landlady says we still have room however they will be very busy and will have to share room with diners?? This is not acceptable so we have to reschedule at this short notice.
It may be that members didnt relise and may have plans for this day anyway.
These are the options but i need to know asap which is prefered. 1/ We hold meeting after 5 pm on the 18th [stop serving at 5]favorite. 2/ Next available date is 1st April .3/ Saturday afternoon. 17th. 4/ Saturday evening.17th. 5/ Try and get Mothers day postponed.
As it's last minute i cant really make a decition as many may have made plans around the 18th.

Great, need to confirm today so SUNDAY 18TH MARCH AT 5.30 it is then. Remember they serve up to 5pm so if you need a meal then you know the timings, by the time to room is clear i'm estimating the start time. thanks.

It looks as if I can't make it today. However, I would like a few things considering.
1. Why not set the AGM date for next year at the meeting.
2. I think it would round off the year nicely if we had a Mess Dinner in November/December, ie. no meeting, just a social event.
3. Can Sledmere provide a stable or loose box for the mounted section?
