Northover good idea, perhaps you or Granddad can reserch the drills to demonstrate?. We need a training day! to cover the grenade throwing, Drill and explain/demo our A.U. impression.

Yes we do need a day how about mid April as there nothing going on renacting wise.
We're currently looking for the drill for it, struggling ATM but well get there.

I've got a typewritten version of the Northover Drill somewhere, or a photocopy. I will try and find it in the next few days. It was fairly simple. It is covered in Home Guard Instructions its number 40 IIRC. Alistair might have a copy so I shall ask. [darn it I sold mine]

Been in touch with Paul Dore who events at Murton, it's not taking place this time [maybe a multi period later in the year]. So will look at events and plan a training day at Twaites Mill during April. Which day is favourite, Saturday or Sunday?

the 15th is okay for me too, as it is a training day & not a public event, would i be ok to join in bearing in mind that i will be dressed as airborne please? i also volunteer to play the german aircrew if you want to do the platoon escape & evade capture like we did last year? had a great time
