church event cleckheaton
hello all, great forum guys. as the street life event at hull is now on the 5th not the 12th, may i extend an invitation to all home guard members to an event at our local church on remembrance weekend 12th - 13th november. on the saturday we are doing a living history display inside/outside [weather permitting] also a firing display [perhaps 2] a few members from the nww2a have pledged to support this event, so hopefully we have paras, yanks, germans waafs, civies & hopefully some hg members too?? we also hope to have a jeep & a dodge attending? plenty for the firing display inc a gas firing mg42 & a morter? dicounted food & drink available, & proceeds are to raise monies for the churches in the area. sunday is purely for the service & wreath laying. all are welcome, even if its just for part of the day. the address is st barnabus church, church street, off halifax road liversedge. postcode to follow for sally satnav users. if you want any more info, be glad to help? regards steve

Re: church event cleckheaton
carl, as the hull event has moved back to the 12th, ive now lost my "homeguard harry" as dad wishes to support the clubs event there. so im asking that if you do wish to visit us at the church event if i could ask you to potray homeguard or hg aux? & if you could ask mrs corporal to do ats/ land army that would be cool too? we are a bit short of "home front" people/displays. if not you are very welcome anyway in whatever uniform??? best wishes, steve
