Re: re bren gun.
Nice looking Mk2.
BSA or Daimler?
I have a CD somewhere FULL of bren info.
I also have blueprints for the 100 round drum mag box.
I used to have a set of 4 of the drum mags you see Alas, not anymore. I mourn the loss of my 1938 MK1 bren! One of the very best light machine guns of the 20th Century.
You will do well to look for the Bren Machine Gun book by Peter Laidler. Fairly expensive, but if you truly like Bren's this is the bible for you. And if you like them like I do, you'll certainly think the book is worth it.
Cheers!
Matt

Re: re bren gun.
Ah yes, we can't forget the hundreds of thousands of the Brens made in Canada can we!
The blueprint I have is the mag box, not for a mag itself I am afraid! You'll just have to save the £375 to buy a drum mag I guess
I think someone makes a repro though, is it relics?
If you let me know your email that would be good to send the large document.
Off to bed now, have to be up at 3am for work
regards
Matt

Re: re bren gun.
There is a wooden two piece cleaning rod for the small wire brush and cotton mop. Deployed in the barrel holdall.
Combination Tool Mk2 for the spares wallet, gas port fouling cleaing tool, and of course the spares tin goes in the wallet with the gauze.
The oil bottle Mk4 or 5 can also be deployed - or a spare one added - to the spare barrel bag.
The spares tin:-
Extractor Spring,
extractor stay Spring,
piston post Spring,
firing pin
extractor
Plug, clearing,. ruptured cartridge
There is also a wire brush on a twisted wire handle, about 4 or 5 inches long, this is the Brush, Cleaning, Magazines - deployed in the holdall.
Hope this helps?! Bash on!
Cheers

Re: re bren gun.
Come to think on it I might have a barrel bag in the garage, I'll check and see what's what. Will bring to AGM if I do.

Re: re bren gun.
Have found Bren oil bottle (square one ) in plastic £10, Bren Mop - white fluffy to fit on pullthrough £5, Bren tool which I think is the Mk2 combination tool (like pipe with flattened end) £10, Oil bottle in black plastic same as rifle oiler £3, Bren sling 1945 dated with swivels unblancoed £30, post war sling £20. All in mint or excellent condition
